Summer Solstice June 21st 2023 A Surprising Future is Possible
All of us – while hoping that this may be another happy day – are also living proof of the toughness and survivability of our historic and pre-historic ancestors whose genes we bear and who were as human and vulnerable as us yet had to face sometimes indecent amounts of moral and physical tests of strength and endurance.
I suppose we get it easy by comparison today but I suspect that some folk always have done. It seems unfair, I know.
The lasting importance of the Solstice reflects its equal balancing of day and night, as well as its indication that the scales are about to tip. I think it is probably from this phenomenon that the psychic and psychology notions come that we should accept both our dark and light sides in a measured way.
So how will life be tomorrow? Here are my impersonal predictions taken from a punctual reading of the I Ching:
What do we most need to know about tomorrow?
8 1456 21: Holding together in good company/going out to market, returning with the results at the end of the day.
What do we most need to do tomorrow or else today in preparation for tomorrow?
45 12 58: At first gathering together is fitful but fun so let yourself be drawn towards a group in such a way that good fortune may come blamelessly. No matter how insignificant you may feel or how weakly your words may seem to echo, your sincerity will speak for you.
And for the long haul, what to know?
37 1456 62: The mother conserves and nurtures her life products within. The father initiates and spreads that which will eventually command respect without. (This is the ancient wisdom that still prevails in much of the world today and confirms the family as the building-block of society, for better and for worse.) This rather staid prediction then converts to an admonition to keep your head down ‘below the parapet’. There is, it seems, a dangerous darkness looming ahead.
In the long-term, what to do?
42 2: A miracle. If we bring harm to no-one, the Source/God/Universe will bring us what we most want and need and nobody – nor any organization, machinery or odd entity – can prevent this. This particular prediction is infallible and timeless.
The insincere moneylending fixers, the world hoax opportunists, the without exception freaks, the three-headed commissars, the fortuned families, NOBODY and NOTHING can prevent the seeding of this beautiful future IF we tenaciously determine to prepare and maintain good ground to receive that bounty WITHIN OUR SELF.
It seems we should not welcome the Dark Side after all.
