In the West today we are enveloped by a certain fascist mentality, as embodied by many right- and left-wing varnished officeholders alike. All my younger life Hitler was held to be the most insanely evil of all men while the Nazis and Fascism could and should be lambasted without dissent. Certainly we cannot remember any of our schoolfellows, teachers, teammates or colleagues sympathizing with totalitarianism let alone wanting ‘La vie sans Liberté’.
